Educational & Professional Experience

Along with her sister Dr. Jennifer Nomides, Kristin is a co-owner and provider here at Coastal Direct Health & Wellness. Kristin attended school locally at UNCW to earn her undergraduate degree in Nursing. After graduating, Kristin worked for Duke University Medical Center for five years while obtaining her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UNC Chapel Hill. After leaving Duke she worked at a Family Practice in Burgaw, North Carolina for a year before leaving transitioning to work for the past four years at Wilmington Health providing services for acute care medical needs. 

 Background & Interests

Kristin is happily married to Ryan Pleasant, a Wilmington local. They have been blessed with two sweet little girls - Maddie Jean and Andie Lenn. Both Kristin and Ryan’s extended families live in Wilmington and they love spending time with their nieces and nephews. Kristin loves to read and relax by the pool or ocean. She also enjoys traveling and playing golf with her husband. Kristin became interested in the nursing profession after traveling overseas to participate in medical missions around the word. She and her sister are very involved in providing medical care to communities in rural Haiti.
